# HYBRID Test Chamber - VR Locomotion Tech Demo - RELEASED - (dhTpDjtN930, 1455s)

it's me Nim Sony welcome to the hybrid test chamber this is the hybrid Locomotion testing system uh which I built uh you can see quite a lot of things in this little room here this is just the menu just follow the little instructions there it's the usual uh thing that I do where you just sort of have the little reenter button in this case you just hold the menu button this time around and then click the little button and you can see here as you can hear what that guy says this is the primary test chamber which is test chamber one and you can see quite a lot of things to mess around with all physically based and of course little zones that you can test things out out in let's have a very quick look at the actual instructions menu here um instructions boards uh there's these little in info screens just sitting around around everywhere some of them are actual buttons little panels that you can trigger uh so you can see here uh my tiny um model shows you the the way so this is tutorial tiny over here he's quite chromy so he's very shiny you can see reflections of everything behind you and of course you just follow the little instructions so you can see uh left analog stick just moves you of course and if you sway like he he's doing there you get that little walk motion that I've added which is all to do with the the whole hybrid system and of course the running you just saw of jog like so in place and it all very much Works quite well I've uh worked a little bit on the actual directionality of things so even when you're pushing like this you still move in a direction that makes sense like you can see here you can see panels here for resetting the level and of course switching to the other chamber which is another test room which is a lot more um efficient in in terms of performance as well so this room's quite big it's got loads of stuff in it and a lot of problems problems with that if you don't have a good graphics card so of course let's have a quick test of the guns all the usual stuff as you've you've seen in every game before but this is of course full physics so you can see everything pushes on each other and of course you can see here that I've got a new sort of Animation system as well and you can see slowmo as well I love playing with those bullets so you can see the bullets actually do act as full physics objects this time so you can see and you can hear them as well it's quite fun to hear them um you can see here that I've added a grabby system for the second hand as well which works at that single grab point that you're on so you can see here and if of course if I move my hand too far away it disconnects so you can see here even though I'm holding the grip now you can hold both grips with your trigger and your grip finger and of course that no longer grabs things so you can use that as a sort of punching mechanism okay let's have a look at the recoil differences when you're holding with two hands so here is with one hand you can see and here's with two hands a lot less and that's simply your physics entirely um I've got quite a lot to go through so I'm going to rush quite a bit of this you can see that the trigger system works a little bit uh randomly on on other things as well so it it's actually a grip point and Trigger trigger system for each grip point and yeah there's quite a lot going on here um a lot of Corde going on so you can see here torch lights work and you can hold them on the other end to actually hold them backwards and of course if you hold them on this side you're holding them forwards like that let's have a look at a two-hand weapon so you've got multiple grip points which work quite nicely and they have this sort of uh pull towards the direction that your main hand is facing mainly it it works quite well I haven't got a shoulder system yet but of course you can just place your hand behind them anyway so let's have a look I'll use my left eye for that because I think the recording will be showing the left eye uh the hand tracking on the second hand is not perfect yet um in terms of animations and stuff uh the actual position is pretty good uh but yeah you can actually hold a single point on anything anything that you can grab like the end of that you can grab with two hands anything that you can grab you can grab with two hands so here you can basically hold the gun in three ways um o I forgot to fix this little trigger here you can see is wrongly triggering with the main trigger anyways here you can see the recoil on this gun pretty heavy when you're on a single hand hold it with two hands you can pretty much aim and with with two hands on the correct positions you can aim properly of course you do get a melee actual melee hits as well I've got a not so working oh well that needs fixing works on the oh there we go oh there we go I don't know why it wasn't working just then but it is now so you can see here uh still not working properly okay I have no idea what's going on with tLine truncated
